The Community College Initiative focuses on enabling community college students pursuing careers in science, engineering, or technology to gain experience in a laboratory setting. We support year-round internship programs which allow students to incorporate this laboratory experience into their undergraduate course schedule.
Throughout the summer, the Community College Internship allows students to participate in paid internships focused in science, engineering, and technology at one of the participating national labs. Students work with scientists and engineers on a relevant project over the course of 10 weeks.
During the Fall and Spring, the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory continues the Community College Initiative through semester long internship programs for local students.
