High School Internship

 

The application for the Fall 2013 Semester-Long Internship Program is now open. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the application closes on July 15, 2013.

The program is a semester-long internship. In order to participate in the program, students must receive academic credit from their home institution for their time at PPPL. Students must devote at least 8 hours/week to working at the laboratory during regular business hours only (M-F, 8AM-5PM) in intervals of at least 3 hours per session. The program is not meant for students who are only able to work after school. Accepted students are matched with a mentor (a PPPL scientist or engineer) and given a project to perform throughout the semester.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

SEMESTER-LONG INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The application for the 2013 Summer Internship Program is now CLOSED.


References must submit their letters of recommendation by Friday, March 29, 2013.


The program is a summer-long paid internship. The internship will run from July 1 until August 16, tentatively (dates are subject to change). Students who are accepted are matched with a mentor (a PPPL scientist or engineer) and given a project to perform throughout the summer. The program requires students to work 40 hours/week at PPPL for approximately 7 weeks. At the end of the program, students are expected to present a poster and submit a paper detailing their work.
