CLOµDS Drop Test
CLOµDS Drop Test
2012
On July 18, Science Education held a professional development course for the CLOµDS program. Part of the workshop included a “drop test,” in which we dropped an experiment from a height of 100 feet in order to obtain some microgravity data! PPPL’s emergency service unit and their mutual aid partner, Plainsboro Fire Department provided a ladder truck that was raised 100 feet to perform the drop tests.
Read more about the experiment & watch a video of the fall on Andrew’s Blog, in PPPL’s weekly bulletin, or in the Trenton Times! Check out some photos of the workshop here!
